Healthcare provider Thumbay Group has announced the launch of a new hospital and treatment district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The district, known as Thumbay Medicity Dubai, includes a new hospital – Thumbay University Hospital – a Gulf Medical University branch campus, advanced research facilities, simulation and skills centres, labs, pharmacies, and wellness and hospitality spaces.

Thumbay University Hospital Dubai will launch its services in phases, with the first encompassing renal dialysis, cardiology, orthopaedics, and rehabilitation services.

The Gulf Medical University campus will feature the Thumbay College of Management of AI in Healthcare, advanced simulation labs, surgical skills centres, and other facilities.

The Medicity aims to enhance Dubai’s reputation as a destination for international-standard healthcare and medical research.

The complex is located close to the Dubai–Sharjah border, in the Al Qusais area of eastern Dubai, and close to major population centres and travel links such as Dubai International Airport.
