The plans, launched under the Sphera brand, are the product of Orient Insurance’s local knowledge, combined with Allianz Partners’ global healthcare expertise
UAE-based firm Orient Insurance has teamed up with Allianz Partners to launch a suite of international healthcare plans for expats living in Dubai and the northern Emirates.
The plans, to be sold under the brand Sphera, are underwritten and sold by Orient Insurance, and designed with the support of Allianz Partners.
Sphera products are targeted at “globally mobile professionals, digital nomads, international students, young travellers, and expatriate families”, and aim to address the challenges of living abroad, such as navigating complex healthcare systems.
They are available in four tiers designed to meet a range of needs and budgets: Essence, Base, Enhanced, and Signature.
The plans also include a range of additional services, such as an expat assistance programme, a travel security service, a health and wellness support programme, and a second medical opinion service.
Additionally, customers have access to apps such as MyHealth Digital Services and Lumi.
“The launch of Sphera in collaboration with Orient Insurance reflects the need for us to provide international healthcare product that meet constantly evolving customer needs,” said Okan Özdemir, Chief Officer, Health at Allianz Partners.
Omer Elamin, President Orient Group at Al-Futtaim – the parent company of Orient Insurance – added: “Dubai and the northern Emirates continue to attract a diverse and growing international community. With Sphera, we are introducing an international healthcare solution designed specifically for expatriates living and working in the UAE, combining Orient Insurance’s deep understanding of the local market with Allianz Partners’ global healthcare expertise.”
