The new partnership will allow Now Health International to continue to administer both international health insurance plans, including claims handling and customer service support, and its benefits products (such as WorldCare and SimpleCare) to UAE customers. There are to be no changes to benefits, pricing, or the customer service experience.

The new partnership replaces Now Health International’s previous partnership with RSA, which will cease to offer cover on new business in the UAE from 1 August 2020. A one-year run-off period will be deployed to ensure existing members a smooth transition to the new arrangements with Arabia Insurance at their next plan renewal.

“At Now Health International, we are committed to further building our presence in the Middle East and have ambitions to expand into new markets across the region,” said Zahir Sharif, Managing Director, Now Health International. “Arabia Insurance Company S.A.L, with its 75-year heritage, local expertise and existing presence across nine regional markets, is a well-placed partner to help us achieve this goal. This announcement also follows the recent appointment of our newly created role of general manager for the GCC, in recognition of the growing importance of this market to our business”.

Samer Abou Jaoude, General Manager, Arabia Insurance, added: “The international health insurance market continues to grow rapidly in the UAE and beyond, and we trust that through this partnership we can achieve mutual success”.
