AXA Global Healthcare appoints new Senior Distribution Leader in Asia
James Swatton’s responsibilities will include driving growth, strengthening partnerships, and expanding AXA’s presence across Asian markets
AXA Global Healthcare has announced the appointment of James Swatton as Senior Distribution Leader in Asia, effective immediately. Swatton will lead efforts to grow AXA Global Healthcare’s Hong Kong team and support the company’s broader expansion across Asia, focusing on entering new markets and collaborating with partners and internal stakeholders. His appointment marks a significant step in strengthening AXA Global Healthcare’s presence in the international private medical insurance (IPMI) sector across the region.
Swatton brings with him extensive experience in the insurance industry, with a particular focus on sales and distribution across both domestic and regional markets in Asia. He also brings regional knowledge to the role, with over 15 years of experience living and working in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining AXA Global Healthcare, Swatton held senior leadership positions at Bupa within the IPMI sector, including Head of Commercial Sales and Head of Client Management. He also held leadership positions at a regional insurance broker, where he served as Business Development Director and later as General Manager in Hong Kong.
