APRIL International earns fourth consecutive five-star rating in 2025 IPMI Report
The insurer has earned top industry recognition for its international private medical insurance service and claims performance in 2025
APRIL International has received a five-star service rating in Health & Protection’s 2025 International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) Report for the fourth year in a row, achieving an overall score of 89.8 out of 100 – nearly 10 points ahead of the next highest-rated provider.
The report, based on feedback from more than 200 advisers, intermediaries, and brokers, ranked the company highest in categories including quote and application support, response times, staff expertise, and broker support.
Joe Thomas, Managing Director of APRIL International UK, said: “Securing the top five-star rating once again is a tremendous achievement and a testament to our team’s ongoing dedication to supporting partners and clients.”
The company has also been named Managing General Agent (MGA) of the Year at the 2025 British Claims Awards for the second consecutive year. Judges cited APRIL’s combination of digital tools, local expertise, and customer service, highlighting its mobile app and claims handling.
Thomas added: “Supporting brokers and helping them grow their businesses remains central to our strategy. We understand that quality international medical insurance cover is no longer a luxury but a necessity for individuals seeking prompt and easy access to healthcare wherever they are.”
Recent developments at APRIL include an expanded virtual payment solution, and a redesigned Easy Claim app launched in 2024.
In conversation with the ITIJ team, experts recently discussed the state of play of IPMI in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
