Vaidam Health acquires MediJourney
Digital platform developer MediJourney will continue to operate independently under its new ownership, while supporting Vaidam Health’s expansion of operations
Indian medical tourism firm Vaidam Health has announced its acquisition of MediJourney, a digital platform for international patient facilitation.
The platform, which is designed to connect international patients with verified healthcare providers, will be integrated into Vaidam Health’s operations, and used to support its global expansion, in particular in Africa and Southeast Asia.
The acquisition of MediJourney is expected to enhance Vaidam’s technological capabilities, and improve the delivery of patient services, supporting the company’s ambitions to provide a comprehensive medical tourism platform.
It is hoped that the platform’s acquisition will result in a 40–50% increase in active patient engagements over the next year.
MediJourney will continue to operate independently under Vaidam’s ownership, and is expected to benefit from Vaidam’s in-house technology, hospital partnerships, and multilingual case management systems.
“We welcome MediJourney to Vaidam Health,” said Pankaj Chandna, Co-Founder of Vaidam Health. “MediJourney’s platform complements our infrastructure and broadens our ability to connect international patients with trusted healthcare options in India. This acquisition reflects our commitment to simplifying access to quality treatment for patients worldwide.”
The Medical Travel Company, the BAPIO Training Academy, and Marengo Asia Hospitals signed a global partnership to promote medical tourism to India earlier this year.
