PureHealth completes Circle Health takeover
UAE healthcare provider PureHealth has completed its takeover of UK-based private hospital chain Circle Health Group
PureHealth had previously announced its plans for the takeover in August 2023.
The company said that completing its purchase of “the UK’s largest independent operators of hospitals marks a significant milestone in [its] global expansion strategy”.
Circle Health was valued at approximately US$1.2 billion before debt prior to the takeover.
The move follows PureHealth’s previous takeover of Ardent Health USA – a Nashville, Tennessee-based business – in May 2023.
PureHealth stated that it plans to continue its global expansion strategy in 2024, with new acquisitions in both its local and international markets.
“Completing the acquisition of Circle is a strategic leap forward for PureHealth,” said Farhan Malik, Founder and Managing Director of PureHealth. “This move aligns with our vision of pioneering a healthier future for all and underscores our commitment to elevating the global position of Abu Dhabi in the healthcare sector and revolutionising healthcare services globally.
“We look forward to fostering long-term partnerships within the UK’s healthcare ecosystem,” he added.
