Doctor Care Anywhere and Allianz agreement enhances IPMI cover
Doctor Care Anywhere (DOC) has signed a new channel agreement with Allianz Partners, allowing Allianz IPMI policyholders based in Europe to access DOC's digital health services
With services set to launch in January 2021 (and no set expiry period), this agreement marks UK-based DOC’s first international private medical insurance (IPMI) agreement in Europe. Through the new partnership, Allianz Partners policyholders and their dependents based in Europe will be able to access DOC’s digital health services, including teleconsultation.
According to a press release from DOC, as per the agreement, there will be a fixed price per consultation, and consultations will be provided by the company’s Irish Medical-Council-registered clinicians, with initial services to include DOC virtual GP consultations.
Enhancing global care services
“We are thrilled by the opportunity to work with another world-leading insurer; this is further recognition of the value that the Doctor Care Anywhere platform brings to patients, payors and providers,” Founder and CEO Dr Bayju Thakar said.
He added: “Being engaged by Allianz Partners adds to the company’s growth trajectory and supports our ability to service patient needs globally. This agreement is integral to our strategic plans for 2021 and beyond, helping us to deliver joined-up, accessible, quality health and disease care in the UK and globally.”
Back in November, DOC partnered with UK-based online pharmacy Signature Pharmacy to provide home delivery prescription services.
