Global health technology company Proximie has partnered with the Research Institute against Cancer of the Digestive System North America (IRCAD NA) to create a connected, data-driven ecosystem for surgical innovation and education. The collaboration aims to make advanced surgical techniques and technologies accessible to clinicians worldwide.

IRCAD NA, located in The Pearl Innovation District in Charlotte, North Carolina, is part of a global network of surgical training and research centres, with facilities in Brazil, China, France, India, Lebanon, Rwanda, and Taiwan. The North American facility, which officially opened on 19 September 2025, will host dozens of specialist courses each year, welcoming thousands of surgeons for training in minimally invasive techniques across general, cardiovascular, neurosurgical, and orthopaedic surgery.

Through the partnership, Proximie’s platform will enable IRCAD NA to transmit, store, and unify surgical data. This connectivity allows surgeons to collaborate in real time while capturing information that enhances the depth and quality of training. The technology will also generate valuable insights for medical developers and researchers, helping to accelerate innovation and improve patient outcomes.
