International insurer April enhances Hong Kong policies
Health-Insurer April International Care has announced multiple enhancements to its MyHEALTH Hong Kong international private medical insurance policies
The changes apply to individual, family and enterprise cover and are effective immediately.
Several new medical treatments have been added to the policies, including stem cell treatment on elite hospital plans and hormone replacement, psychologist costs and vaccinations across multiple level plans.
The out-of-area cover limit has additionally been doubled to US$100,000.
Hong Kong residents will be able to opt for inpatient treatment via a specified providers network, which will help contain costs and offset the effects of medical price inflation.
April has also launched a telehealth service for Hong Kong-based clients, which is available through April’s mobile application to all clients.
“Keeping access to private international healthcare affordable is more important than ever,” said Kylee Lancsar, Customer Journey and Digital Marketing Manager at April International. “These new international private health insurance enhancements for 2020 continue our long track record of innovation and a focus on the needs of our clients. Premium rate changes have been kept to a minimum for our entry level products, while at the same time, a substantial range of policy enhancements has been rolled out.”
