Indian healthcare provider SPARSH has inaugurated a new 250-bed “super-specialty” hospital facility in the city of Bengaluru. This includes over 50 dedicated intensive care unit (ICU) beds for critical and intensive care patients.

The hospital, located on the Sarjapur Road, further expands SPARSH’s network to nine hospitals.

The new facility features a range of services and centres of excellence for specialties such as neurosciences, cardiology, nephrology, orthopaedics, oncology, transplants, women’s health, children’s health, and emergency care.

It also has diagnostic facilities for MRI and CT scans, cardiac catheterisation, electroencephalograms, sleep study, and interventional radiology.

“Bengaluru has the potential to become the Healthcare Capital of India,” said Dr Sharan Shivaraj Patil, Chairman of the SPARSH Group of Hospitals. “Just as the city played a pioneering role in driving India’s IT revolution, it can now lead the way in making India a global healthcare leader within the next decade.”

Construction has begun on the Mayapada-Apollo Batam International Hospital (MABIH), a new healthcare facility in the city of Batam, Indonesia.
