Rhodian Group launches second agency, Batch Underwriting
The Australian underwriting agency incubator has expanded its portfolio
Agencies accelerator Rhodian Group has launched its new shared equity accident and health (A&H) specialist agency Batch Underwriting, the Group’s second business to be introduced to the market.
The new agency enters the market six months after the launch of Rhodian’s inaugural agency, Halo Underwriting, last July, which looks at hard-to-place risks in property and liability.
Founder and CEO Andrew Batchelar said: “Born from the collaborative efforts of a dynamic and diverse group of individuals, I am thrilled to introduce Batch Underwriting to the market. Batch is the culmination of extensive work, innovation, and a shared commitment to delivering high-quality, tailored A&H products to our broker family,” he told Insurance Business.
With 20 years of experience in the A&H sector, Batchelar plans to direct the agency toward the corporate and larger SME segments in Australia.
Supported by US specialty products and services distributor Amwins, the initial product line-up encompasses corporate travel, group personal accident and sickness, journey cover, and volunteer cover, with plans to expand the product suite.
Late last year, experts reflected on best practice in travel and health insurance underwriting when contending with ever-changing consumer needs.
