Lanas Healthcare Technologies launches with $115m M&A funding
The creation of Lanas Healthcare Technologies signals renewed investor confidence in the rapidly expanding global digital health sector
A new global healthcare technology platform, Lanas Healthcare Technologies Ltd, has launched with more than US$115 million in M&A funding and annual revenues exceeding $120 million, following its acquisition of Clanwilliam Group.
Backed by global private equity firm TA Associates, Lanas enters the market as one of the largest new players in international healthtech, with customers in over 20 countries and 19 offices across three continents. The Dublin-headquartered company will focus on acquiring and scaling proven healthcare technologies to enable more connected and efficient care delivery worldwide.
The launch follows the September 2025 acquisition of Clanwilliam Group, a provider of electronic health record (EHR) solutions founded in 1996 by Howard Beggs, who now serves as CEO of Lanas. Clanwilliam brings with it more than 1.5 million clinical users across pharmacy, primary and community care, specialist, and care platform markets in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
“Lanas has launched with Clanwilliam at its foundation, providing immediate scale and a three-decade track record of quality, reliability, and innovation,” said Beggs. “Our goal is to triple the size of the business through organic growth and targeted acquisitions in our core verticals.”
Alongside TA Associates, the launch is supported by Apollo-managed funds Hayfin Capital Management and Arcmont Asset Management, which are jointly providing additional capital to fuel the company’s global expansion.
TA’s Lovisa Lander and Morgan Seigler join the Lanas board, bringing deep experience in scaling international healthcare and technology platforms. “Our mission at Lanas is to ignite healthcare innovation and turn ideas into impact,” said Lander. “We’re building a platform that helps healthcare professionals harness the power of technology in their daily work.”
Earlier this year, the UK became the first country to join a new global network of health regulators focused on the safe and effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare.
