International SOS has been announced as a Top Employer in the UK for its sixth consecutive year by the Top Employers Institute

The global health and security risk services company achieved an overall score of 92.75% from the Top Employers Institute, which puts it in the top quartile of Top Employers.

The institute certifies employers around the world for their excellence in employee conditions, talent development, and HR practices. The certified Top Employers are awarded for leading the way in outstanding ‘people-first’ HR practices.

Key aspects of International SOS’ certification include:

  • A well-being score 19% above benchmark
  • An onboarding score 18% above benchmark
  • A rewards and recognition score 15% above benchmark
  • A talent acquisition score 13% above benchmark
  • An overall people strategy score 12% above benchmark.

Ben Dale, International SOS Human Resources Director for Northern Europe, commented: “This is a very important result for us as we are constantly talking to our clients about health and wellbeing [HWB] solutions. For us to be an authentic employer we need to be best in class in HWB for our own people. For example, all our employees have access to a new mental wellbeing app. This tool is also available to all our clients and their own employees.”

Tim Heard, mental health expert at HCML, recently offered his perspective on whether the increasing pressure on UK businesses could cause an uptake in employee assistant programme (EAP) offerings.
