Last night the ITIJ Awards took place at the ITIC Global Finale Dinner in Geneva and the winners were revealed. In other news, Ping An Insurance Group is on the hunt for acquisitions in the European market, according to the service entity’s Innovations Chief Jonathan Larsen; Traveller Assist has announced the launch of Payr, a new insurtech platform facilitating the quick and efficient payment of medical bills abroad; Munich Re has announced that it has entered into an insurtech partnership with startup accelerator Plug and Play; following Google’s recent investment in a minority stake of Applied Systems, which providers insurance technology and cloud-based software, the tech giant has hinted that it will likely look for other insurtech companies in which to invest; Generali UK has announced the launch of a new business travel insurance and assistance solution.
