Zurich appointments
Zurich Insurance Group has appointed Robert Dickie (pictured) to the post of chief operations and technology officer, as well as making him a member of the Group Executive Committee (GEC), effective as of March this year. Robert will then be responsible for the company’s shared services, IT, procurement and sourcing, as well as its operational transformation initiatives. He joins Zurich from American International Group, Inc. (AIG).
“I am very pleased to welcome Robert Dickie to Zurich and our team,” commented Martin Senn, CEO of Zurich. “With his extensive international and leadership experience as well as his track record of transforming operations and technology across global, national and regional platforms, Robert is very well positioned to bring Zurich’s operations to the next level in support of our strategy.” Prior to his work with AIG, where he served as chief operations and systems officer, Robert has worked with UK bank Bradford & Bingley and Australia-based National Bank Group.
Zurich Insurance Group has also announced that George Quinn has been appointed to the company as chief financial officer (CFO) and a member of the GEC, effective 1 May. George joins Zurich from Swiss Re Group, where he served as the Group’s CFO since March 2007.
