Adrian Marklew joins the firm from global travel tech firm Sabre

Travel risk management company World Travel Protection has appointed Adrian Marklew as its new Director of Corporate Relationships and Partner Development for its UK team.

Marklew will focus on raising awareness of World Travel Protection’s comprehensive travel risk management solutions among the business travellers, and will report to UK Business Development Director, Alex Twiggs.

Marklew joins the company from previous employer, global travel technology firm Sabre, where he was employed as Director of Global Corporate Relationships for almost eight years. He also previously held senior business development roles with other global corporate travel management companies.

World Travel Protection, which is a Zurich Insurance Group subsidiary, established an assistance centre in London in 2021, to accommodate a growing number of corporate employers considering enhanced protection for travelling employees following the Covid-19 pandemic.

The company also operates two command centres in Brisbane and Toronto, as well as another assistance centre in Shanghai.
