New Iberia lead for Willis Towers Watson
Willis Towers Watson has announced the appointment of Alberto Gallego as its new head of Iberia. The company said that Alberto will start the role on 1 January 2018 and will be based in Madrid, Spain, where he will lead the business’ 22 offices in Spain and Portugal. Alberto will also continue his role as head of corporate risk and broking for Western Europe, which he started in early 2016.
Paul Morris, head of Western Europe, Willis Towers Watson, said: “We see strong potential to develop our well-established presence in Iberia, across a diverse range of business solutions and segments. Alberto will draw on his extensive local and global experience to lead further growth and expansion in this important market. He will also continue to drive revenues across the Western Europe region as the leader of Corporate Risk and Broking.”
Alberto joined Willis Towers Watson in 1990 and has held a series of senior leadership positions over that time, including chief operating officer of Iberia between 1990 and 2013, when he became CEO of Western Europe.
Anton Serrats, the current head of Iberia, will take on the role of vice president of Willis Towers Watson Iberia.
