Mystery fire burns down three passenger buses at LAX
Three passenger buses caught fire at Los Angeles International Airport in the US on the evening of 21 December and investigations are underway into the cause
Fortunately, the buses were empty at the time and nobody was hurt. However, airport traffic was affected, at what is one of the busiest times of year. The buses were parked at the new LAXit rideshare pickup facility, which had to be temporarily closed.
According to Los Angeles fire officials, two liquid propane-powered buses were fully engulfed by flames, while a third bus was damaged by the blaze. Officials said that it took 25 firefighters under 20 minutes to extinguish the fire.
While the cause remains under investigation, officials said that there is no reason it should be considered suspicious.
