Luxor, Egypt, to become medical travel destination?
The plan follows the erection of a new building in Karnak International Hospital in Luxor
The new facility, which cost EGP230 million (US$14,659,018.26) to build, houses 62 beds, six operating theatres and four hotel suites for therapeutic tourism.
Following a tour of the new facility at Karnak International Hospital, which is located in Luxor city, on the east bank of the Nile River in southern Egypt, Health Minister Hala Zayed said that Karnak International Hospital in Luxor would turn into a key destination for medical tourism in Egypt.
Elsewhere in the world, Bali has announced plans to open a new hospital for specific diseases, such as cancer and tumours to lure in medical travellers.
