ITIJ's November 2021 issue is out now
The 250th issue of ITIJ is a real milestone for the team. Our biggest-ever issue covers a whole host of topics, here is what we have for you this November
November’s ITIJ is our biggest-ever issue, packed with content on travel risk management, the increasing adoption of new technology such as parametric products, the latest insurance software solutions, and moves by the cruise sector to enhance hygiene and medical facilities onboard their ships.
The gradual relaxation of travel restrictions due to Covid means that the travel insurance and assistance sectors are really going to come into their own in the next six months. All the companies that have been quietly rebooting systems and updating their approaches are now set to take the world by storm, and we at ITIJ are very excited about the prospect! Plenty of chat in this issue along those lines from experts including Carl Carter at CPP Group, Xavier Blanchard from AXA Travel, Dan Tuman and Bailey Foster from Trawick International, and Mark Allsopp from Taurus Insurance.
In the Hospitals & Healthcare section, we talk to executives from Matilda International about what’s happening in Hong Kong, and Spain’s healthcare system is under scrutiny as well – can the pressure of Covid be relieved by the influx of tourists?
Elsewhere, Clara Bullock investigates moves by the cruise sector and assistance companies to enhance hygiene onboard ships, boost medical facilities onboard, and enhance the safe transfer of patients from ship to shore. Plus, Lauren Haigh spoke to a raft of experts in travel risk management about how companies with globally mobile employees can do more to keep them out of harm’s way in this fast-moving world of business travel risk. The new standard from ISO focusing on travel risk management is also analysed further by Lloyd Figgins from TRIP Group. Travel risk management also comes to the fore in an article from Healix about the evacuation of NGO staff from Afghanistan following the takeover by the Taliban. It doesn’t get much riskier than that!
The ITIJ team will be at ITIC Global in Madrid for the first week in November, and we are really looking forward to meeting our readers there – many of who are attending the event for the first time! Plus, of course, it’s the annual ITIJ Awards. We are rewarding the companies that have pushed the boundaries over the past year, and have shown the depth of talent and innovation this incredible industry has.
