The move is part of CII efforts to engage, educate and inspire individuals working in the travel, home, motor and pet insurance segments, in order to help them progress, whatever career stage they happen to be at. New entrants, for example, can watch short educational animations to ground them in the basics, before taking part in online modules and later putting themselves forward for qualifications.

Additionally, the materials have been developed to keep insurers and brokers abreast of evolving regulatory requirements.

“Personal lines is effectively the shop window for the insurance profession,” said Rhys Courtney, Head of Learning and Development at Brightside Group Ltd, an insurance broker in the UK. “The CII’s new training material and qualifications will help increase the knowledge of individuals working in personal lines insurance and improve outcomes for consumers.”
