And the award goes to …

This year, the awards focused on those who provided the best policies, collating pricing for 243 international travel insurance policies from 66 different insurers, comparing the findings and determining the winners by those who delivered exceptional value or benefits to consumers.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the winners for 2019.

Taking home the coveted ‘Travel Insurer of the Year’ award for the second year in a row is World2Cover. The travel insurance company featured heavily in many of the awards categories, taking a total of 10 this year, more than any other insurer.

Woolworths and Travel with Kit both took home three Exceptional Value Awards, including policies that provided the best comprehensive cover at the best cost. RACV was also given three awards, one for offering some of the best value ski travel insurance cover in the Exceptional Value category, and two in the Exceptional Quality category.

Fast Cover, InsureandGo and Cover-More Travel Insurance were each given two awards, and two Exceptional Quality awards were given to Cover-More and InsureandGo, while Fast Cover received one Exceptional Quality and one Exceptional Value award.

Other award recipients were Jetstar, Real Insurance and Simply Travel Insurance, which each took home an Exceptional Value award. Additionally, STA Travel, Travel Insurance Saver and 1Cover all took home one Exceptional Quality award each.

The Mozo Experts Choice Awards analysis is overseen by AJ Duncanson, Mozo’s Data Services Director, and Product Data Manager Peter Marshall. Marshall noted that the results of the 2019 awards highlight why it’s crucial to shop around to find the right cover. “Whether you’re a frequent traveller, require top-notch ski insurance, or simply want basic cover for your next family holiday,” he said, “these awards help to highlight the policies providing quality cover and value for money.”
