ACM launches TravelAid app
Emergency assistance, medical case management and claims processing service provider Active Care Management (ACM) recently launched a new mobile travel assistance app, the GPS-enabled TravelAid, which ‘will provide travellers with immediate assistance anywhere in the world’, according to the Canada-based company.
Its features include: a direct link to ACM for immediate assistance; information about healthcare providers; directions to the individual’s nearest medical facility; international 911 look-up; official travel advisories; travel tips for travelling Canadians and visitors to Canada; and claims submission support for out-of-province and out-of-country travellers.
“Travelling with peace of mind has never been easier,” said David Rivelis, executive vice president of ACM. “Should something happen, TravelAid can tell you – in a matter of seconds – who to contact, where to go, how to get there, and where to begin the claims process. We’ve streamlined it, so all you have to worry about is the travel part. We take care of the rest.”
