What are the key services offered by the company?
WMMS offers customised and cashless medical TPA services all over the world, in addition to cost containment in the US and other marketplaces. We are an independent company (not owned or related to any insurance company or large corporate house), and this allows the insurance and assistance industry to liaise freely with us. Our unique service proposition is to work within the framework of very strict metrics both in terms of quality and cost, previously established with the client. This leaves no space for interpretation or subjectivities.
Prevention is often the best form of cure when it comes to cost containment solutions, how does World Medical Management Solutions ensure that patients are getting the right care, at the right time, and at the right price?
When it comes to travel, which is our specialty, we have learned that the best way to uplift customer satisfaction and to contain cost is to provide an efficient and thorough ambulatory medical solution. Thus, we have developed a vast network of telemedicine solutions, house call doctors and urgent cares in the main areas of travel worldwide, through which we can provide a one stop solution to 90 per cent of the medical cases. Ambulatory medical services, also serve another key function, which is to avoid the unnecessary use of very costly ER.
Ignacio Marquez has recently joined the company; what position is he holding, and what are his priorities taking the company forward?
Besides being an old friend, Ignacio is an icon in the travel insurance industry. He is versatile, experienced and has a unique know-how in both commercial and operational aspects. Ignacio is our new Chief Commercial Officer and is here to take WMMS to the next level in terms of growth and expansion in the travel insurance and IPMI arenas.
As the world opens back up again after Covid, what changes are you making to the company to prepare for an increasing number of medical cases you will be seeing?
First of all, we have launched a new Alarm Centre in the city of Buenos Aires (where skilled and multilingual human resources abound), with 60 fully equipped workstations. This new office is our 24/7 operational plateau, which operates in tandem with our office in the US, where most of the admin work as well as the cost containment is carried out. We are also moving into the next phase of our CRM update which will include several new features aimed at allowing an accurate interphase in real time with our clients’ CRM for visibility and control purposes, while we continue to build and enhance our providers network worldwide. Our mission is to be the only 100 per cent cashless worldwide TPA by the end of 2022.
