WAS Travel Insurance launches ChatGPT app
The app enables Australian customers to compare travel insurance policies and prices
Australian travel insurance comparison service WAS Travel Insurance, operated by Wiseandsilent Pty, has launched a ChatGPT app that allows users to compare travel insurance policies and prices from participating providers, including single-trip and annual multi-trip cover.
Users can specify their preferred coverage options, and the app also provides links to participating providers where they can purchase policies.
The launch reflects the growing use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in insurance distribution, with insurers and comparison services exploring ways to simplify how travellers research, compare, and purchase cover.
Earlier this year, VisitorsCoverage unveiled what the company described as the travel insurance industry’s first app designed for ChatGPT.
