VisitorsCoverage launches first ChatGPT travel insurance app
The move highlights growing adoption of generative AI in insurance distribution to simplify how travellers compare and purchase cover
VisitorsCoverage has launched what it describes as the travel insurance industry’s first app designed for ChatGPT, marking a significant step in the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) to streamline insurance purchasing.
The new app enables travellers to research and compare policies through natural language conversations. Users can describe their travel plans, receive personalised quotes, compare coverage options across multiple carriers, and review full policy details before completing a purchase via the VisitorsCoverage platform.
The launch reflects the company’s broader strategy to simplify access to travel insurance and expand its digital distribution capabilities. By integrating with ChatGPT, VisitorsCoverage aims to make the process more intuitive and transparent for users navigating complex coverage options.
“At VisitorsCoverage, we have always been at the forefront of digital transformation in the insurance space,” said Rajeev Shrivastava, CEO of VisitorsCoverage. “Integrating our services into the ChatGPT ecosystem is a natural step in our journey to meet travellers where they are, providing them with the tools they need to secure the best protection through the power of AI.”
The company said the app leverages its data engine to deliver instant quotes and enable side-by-side plan comparisons, helping travellers make informed decisions more efficiently while simplifying the insurance buying process.
VisitorsCoverage recently announced a partnership with visa processing platform Atlys to integrate its Treppy embedded insurance technology directly into the Atlys checkout journey.
