True Traveller launches free Wi-Fi/4G calling feature
The function is available to any user who has downloaded their True Traveller insurance card to their digital wallet
Insurance provider True Traveller has added a free Wi-Fi/4G calling feature to its digital insurance card.
The feature allows customers who have downloaded it to their digital wallet (Apple Wallet, Google Wallet) to make free calls directly to the company’s emergency medical support partner, AXA Assistance CZ, without an international SIM card.
The function is available when using either a Wi-Fi connection or 4G phone data.
It follows the launch of True Traveller’s digital insurance card in 2022.
Tim Riley, Managing Director of True Traveller, said the new feature was intended to add a “simple, extra layer of reassurance”, allowing customers to get support quickly and easily wherever they are in the world, even in areas where phone signal coverage is limited or costly.
Fellow insurance provider Gigasure recently announced the launch of its own digital insurance card.
