Gigasure launches digital insurance card
The card allows travel insurance customers to store key policy information in their phone’s digital wallet
Travel insurance provider Gigasure has announced the launch of GigaCard, a digital insurance card that stores key information for customers about their travel insurance policy.
The GigaCard can be added to a smartphone’s digital wallet, and provides an easier way to access policy information.
Information held by the card will include policy details, the expiry date, and key emergency contact details.
Users also have the ability to quickly share the card with other policyholders, while the card also allows Gigasure to update customers of policy changes and updates.
GigaCard is available to all Gigasure customers across their Travel, Backpackers, and Car Hire Excess insurance policies.
“Our vision has always been to create digitalised insurance products that enable mobile-first experiences that fit our customers’ needs,” said Ernesto Suarez, CEO of Gigasure. “They want to be able to access what they need easily, when they need it, in the most hassle-free way possible. This is where we really add value to the insurance proposition.”
Gigasure was named New Business of the Year at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards 2025 in London.
