Swisscom and ERV launch travel insurance offer in Switzerland
Swisscom has partnered with Europäische Reiseversicherung ERV to launch its ‘Easy Travel Insurance Day’ offer, travel insurance that can be taken out flexibly on a daily basis
Swisscom has also launched its ‘Easy Travel Insurance Year’ product for individuals and families. The payment method for this is new and unusual as Easy Travel Insurance Year is billed monthly. After expiry of the minimum 12-month contract period, the contract can be terminated at any time under observance of a notice period of 60 days to the end of the month.
Dirk Wierzbitzki, Head of Residential Customers at Swisscom, said: “The people of Switzerland enjoy travelling a lot. During these coronavirus times, this has been more in Switzerland than abroad. But we are delighted to support our six million customers with this too. The partnership with ERV, the travel insurance specialist of the Helvetia Group, has connected us for over 20 years, so we are very pleased to have ERV on board to launch this attractive offer.”
‘Easy Cyber Insurance’ provides legal protection in cases of copyright infringement, identity theft, credit card misuse, online bullying and fraudulent suppliers when shopping online. It also helps with data recovery and virus removal, up to the replacement of hardware. The product has been tailor-made for Swisscom customers in partnership with AXA-ARAG.
“Customer security is very important to us. The new offering fits almost seamlessly into our existing security portfolio and allows customers to enjoy surfing the net with no concerns. It is an ideal complement to Swisscom’s core products,” said Wierzbitzki. The insurance also scores highly, with additional, customer-friendly conditions such as monthly billing. The contract can be terminated at any time after the minimum 12-month contract period under observance of a notice period of 60 days to the end of the month.
