Here's a quick look at what the ITIC team have in store for the international travel and health insurance community who attend our conferences in 2022

As 2022 gets underway, we are delighted to have a full schedule of in-person ITIC: International travel and health insurance conferences on the horizon. We are extremely thankful for the continued support of this community, and can't wait to get back to what we do best: Connecting people across the spectrum of international travel insurance and medical assistance provision.

Here’s a quick look at what we have in store:

First up, our 11th annual ITIC Americas event in-person, in Cartagena, Colombia in March!

Relations between medical providers and the international travel and health insurance community take centre stage at the event, with providers and payers discussing challenges and coming up with solutions to changing market dynamics. With presentations from Americas Market Intelligence, the National Business Association of Colombia, Global Excel and Redbridge, among others, this event is sure to tap into the latest research on how the market is adapting to post-pandemic travel habits.

It’s been a long time coming and we are thrilled to be bringing the ITIC community to Dubai for our first MENA event in May. This conference brings the networking and educational sessions for which ITIC is known to a new audience, with our focus firmly consumer engagement, insurance market trends, cross border care and cost containment. Speakers at ITIC Dubai include Zurich, Generali and Global Healthcare Accreditation.

Then we turn our attention to the UK market, with ITIC heading to Cardiff offering the travel insurance industry the opportunity to dig deep into changing consumer expectations and the best ways for travel insurers to embrace and meet demands from the market with innovative products. Has public understanding of travel insurance benefits kept pace with the growing awareness customers have of the industry? The Association of British Insurers, Financial Ombudsman and market research agencies share their findings with the ITIC audience.

June sees the team head to Singapore for ITIC APAC, where the role of technology in travel insurance and IPMI distribution, digital health solutions and international healthcare provision will be under examination. The ITIC APAC Medical Directors’ Forum also offers an opportunity for medical assistance companies to share challenging cases and identify lessons learned. Speakers include Allianz Partners, Insured by Us, Aeromedical Solutions and Accenture.

Finally, October brings the return of ITIC Global to Athens, Greece. Topics under discussion will range from claims automation, to fraud, telehealth, cost containment, expanding medical assistance services, and travel risk management best practice. The ITIC Global Executive Committee are working hard to ensure this year’s event will offer a platform for the industry to share ideas, push for change and ensure customers are being given the best possible service.

Networking will always be a key part of any ITIC event, with Welcome Receptions and Farewell Dinners acting as bookends to events that bring together the widest variety of actors in the travel and health insurance community. From air medical providers, to hospitals, assistance coordinators, cost containers, insurers, reinsurers and underwriters, every element of the industry plays a vital part in the provision of travel insurance and medical assistance around the world, and each one is represented at ITIC events.
