Thomas Cook India has launched ‘Green Carpet’ – a global platform for managing business travel emissions – in partnership with digital solutions firm LTIMindtree

The software as a service-based (SaaS) platform is designed to ‘address specific concerns faced by organisations, helping them capture, monitor, analyse and reduce their carbon emissions from business travel’. Additionally, the platform offers insights into Scope 3 emissions, with the aim of helping companies to ‘reduce environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting costs’.

Thomas Cook India added that the platform also ‘leverages the global expertise of Fairfax Digital Services’.

Green Carpet offers:

  • Simplified data capture and analysis of travel emissions, with real-time dashboards
  • Adherence to Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) and aligned to global audit requirements
  • Easy integration with current corporate business travel platforms
  • Advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide analytics and recommendations.

Sudhir Chaturvedi, President and Executive Board Member, LTIMindtree said, “ESG has become a board-level priority for nearly all organisations, especially in cognisance of India’s ambitious goal to reach net-zero emissions by 2070. To achieve this goal, organisations are investing in initiatives and infrastructure that will enable them to track, reduce and report carbon footprint seamlessly.”

He added that: “The Green Carpet, powered by LTIMindtree’s ESG digital platform and advanced analytics techniques and Thomas Cook, and [parent company] SOTC’s travel expertise, will help climate-conscious clients to comply with regulatory expectations. It will accelerate their net-zero journey through data-driven engineering solutions, cloud computing data analytics, and enable business decisions towards sustainable future.”

Thomas Cook India also launched Holiday Mate, a B2B tool for travel agent partners, in November 2022.
