New CEO for Allianz Partners

Allianz Partners, a subsidiary of the Allianz Group, has announced the appointment of Tomas Kunzmann as its new CEO, replacing Sirma Boshnakova
Kunzmann has held various positions since joining the Allianz Group in 2009, including Head of Health Underwriting at Allianz Private Krankenversicherung (APKV), and Sales Manager for Allianz’s German operations – where he subsequently took responsibility for the Regional Branch Offices in Ingolstadt and Kempten.
He later moved to Allianz SE in 2017 as Executive Assistant to CEO Oliver Bäte, before holding the role of Interim Head of the CEO Office. Since 2020, he has been the Head of Allianz Partners’ Mobility and Assistance line of business, as well as a Board Member of Allianz Partners.
Former CEO of Allianz Partners, Sirma Boshnakova, Board Member of Allianz SE, commented: “Given his experience at Allianz Partners, [Kunzmann] will bring business continuity, hands-on market knowledge, and a strong track record of collaboration and implementation to the role.”
Kunzmann added: “Our focus will remain on boosting growth, by strengthening our core activities and building new business models and ecosystem platforms.”
Laurent Floquet appointed Head of Mobility and Assistance
Succeeding Kunzmann, the company has also appointed Laurent Floquet as Allianz Partners’ Head of Mobility and Assistance, effective from 1 September.
Kunzmann said that Floquet ‘is an experienced leader, who combines an excellent track record of driving business growth in the assistance business, with strong change and transformation skills’, who has been ‘instrumental in supercharging our transformation over the last number of months’.
Floquet joined the Allianz Group in 2015 as Head of Business Development for Allianz Technology. He moved to Allianz Partners in 2016, where he was Global Chief Sales Officer for the assistance business, before becoming Regional CEO for the North, Central and Eastern European Markets. He was later appointed Chief Transformation Officer and Board Member for Allianz Partners in January 2022.
Allianz Partners also launched business operations in Colombia in July, with the opening of a new office in Bogota.
