The partnership will see Malayan’s insurance plans offered to Atome customers via the latter’s app

Malayan Insurance has announced a new partnership to offer its travel insurance plans on the digital platform of fintech Atome Financial.

The integration of Malayan’s policies into the Atome app is supported by embedded insurance specialist Qoala.

Under the terms of the arrangement, Atome customers will be able to purchase four Malayan Insurance travel plans – Essential, Plus, Premium, and Elite – via the app, with prices starting at 89 pesos (US$1.45).

They can be purchased by travellers between the ages of 18 and 80, and are applicable to both domestic and international trips.

The products offer a range of protection, including against personal accidents, emergency medical expenses, trip cancellation and interruption, and travel inconvenience. They also offer 24/7 worldwide assistance through Assist America.

All plans include sports activity, flight delay, and car rental coverage. They also include car rental protection, sports activity coverage, and flight delay benefits.

ING recently announced its own new partnership with embedded insurance specialist bolttech.
