Insurte partners with Oman Air to embed travel insurance
Oman Air passengers can now add travel cover for medical emergencies, lost luggage, and trip curtailment directly within the airline’s flight booking process, powered by Insurte’s API
Insurte has partnered with Oman Air to integrate travel insurance directly into the airline’s flight booking journey, giving customers access to coverage without leaving the purchase flow.
The partnership brings together two specialist players, with Insurte providing the technology to enable insurance offers during the booking process. The integration is powered by Insurte’s proprietary application programming interface (API), allowing Oman Air to present travel insurance as part of the customer journey rather than requiring travellers to seek cover separately.
“This is the kind of partnership that gets us excited,” said Insurte CEO Stéphane Jersol. “Oman Air is dedicated to creating the best travel insurance experiences for their customers.”
The embedded offering is designed to provide a faster, more straightforward purchase experience, with coverage available in a few clicks. Policies are provided by a global insurance partner with local expertise and cover common travel risks including medical emergencies, lost luggage, and trip curtailment.
For Oman Air, the partnership reflects the wider shift towards embedded insurance, where protection is offered at the point of travel purchase. The model aims to reduce friction for customers while giving airlines and their insurance partners a more integrated way to distribute travel cover.
