Europ Assistance acquires Call 365
The Slovenian former business partner will support EA’s ambitions in Eastern and Central Europe
Generali Group subsidiary Europ Assistance (EA) has announced its acquisition of business partner Slovenian business partner Call 365, as part of plans to expand its footprint in Central and Eastern Europe.
Call 365 has been operating as EA’s exclusive partner in Slovenia for the past three years, providing roadside travel assistance services to Slovenian customers and travellers visiting the country.
The firm has been rebranded as EA Slovenia, alongside the appointment of new CEO Damijan Andjelkovic, and will support the expansion of EA’s personal, travel and roadside assistance interests in the country.
The new subsidiary will complement other Generali entities in the region, including insurance firm Generali Slovenia – created through Generali’s acquisition of Adriatic Slovenica in 2019.
“This acquisition will support our growth ambition in a market where Generali Group is already a leader, with wider growth ambitions in Central & Eastern Europe for the next years,” Pascal Baumgarten, CEO for North, Central, & Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa at Europ Assistance Group.
“EA Austria’s experience and expertise will help EA Slovenia create more value to our clients by adding personal assistance services to its travel and roadside assistance offering, which are already well recognized in the local market,” said Besim Akinci, CEO for EA Austria and Switzerland.
The EA Group also appointed Tarik Ajami as its new General Counsel in November 2021.
