The Europe Assistance Group (EA Group) has appointed Tarik Ajami as its new General Counsel

In his new role, Ajami will serve as the company’s global chief legal officer and will also sit as a member of the company’s Group Management Committee and will report directly to Antoine Parisi, CEO of Europ Assistance Group.

Ajami brings with him over 26 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, and will be transferring from his previous role as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at EA Group’s US-based subsidiary Generali Global Assistance, where he has been employed since 2017.

In his previous role, Ajami is credited as having ‘played a key role in managing major deals in the travel assistance sector’ and ‘transforming the legal and compliance functions or EA Group’s entities in the US, resolving complex open regulatory issues and leading numerous strategic initiatives for the group’s US business’.

“We are very pleased to welcome Tarik in the top management team at Europ Assistance Group,” said Parisi. “Tarik brings deep and vast knowledge of the legal and compliance issues surrounding assistance. His role will be to not just oversee our legal function, but he will also serve as a key driver of business at the Group level in times of change and growth. This is a great example of career development within Europ Assistance Group.”
