Collinson and Sompo launch flight delay benefit in new Asian markets
The product will give travellers from mainland China, Malaysia, and Singapore instant airport lounge access in the event of a flight delay
Collinson International has partnered with insurance provider Sompo to launch flight delay coverage in three new Asian markets.
The companies will offer Sompo Smart Delay to travellers in mainland China, Malaysia, and Singapore.
The product, available to those purchasing single-trip or annual policies on select Sompo travel insurance plans, offers instant access to over 1,800 airport lounges and travel experiences in the event of a flight delay.
“As lounge access and premium services become increasingly important to travellers, particularly in the event of a flight delay, this expansion underscores our shared commitment to elevating the travel experience across the Asia Pacific (APAC), providing reassurance and peace of mind when it’s most needed,” said Todd Handcock, Chief Commercial Officer and APAC Executive Chair at Collinson International.
The announcement follows the successful launch of Sompo Smart Delay in Thailand.
