Chubb announces new embedded travel insurance product
The product, called Travel Pro, offers a range of real-time travel coverage, including payouts for weather-related disruption
Chubb has announced the launch of a new embedded travel insurance solution.
Called Travel Pro, the digital, parametric product is designed to be incorporated into the travel booking processes of airlines, travel agencies, financial agencies, and other digital sales channels.
The solution, unveiled at the World Aviation Festival in Lisbon, Portugal, is designed to offer a range of travel coverage, including parametric coverage for weather-related disruption, real-time baggage tracking and assistance for retrieving lost luggage, and financial relief for medical reimbursement claims.
The product also features a range of flexible delay thresholds, and a number of payout options – including e-vouchers, direct debit, airline miles, and lounge access. It is powered by Chubb Studio, the company’s in-house platform for embedded insurance partnerships.
“Today’s travellers face a myriad of challenges, from flight delays and cancellations to lost luggage and medical emergencies worldwide,” said Alex Blake, Chubb’s Global Head of Travel Insurance. “With Travel Pro, we’re harnessing data and technology so travellers can navigate their journeys with greater confidence against unexpected disruptions.”
PJ Hayman recently announced plans to roll out an AI sales assistant across its Free Spirit travel insurance brand.
