The embedded insurance specialist will offer embedded travel insurance to customers of Trip.com as part of the booking process

Through the partnership, Trip.com customers in Hong Kong will now be able to purchase bolttech’s TravelCare policies via Trip.com’s online platform.

TravelCare is available for both single trips and as part of an annual plan, and includes protection for trip delays and cancellation, medical expenses for Covid-19, mobile phone loss, and cover for a range of leisure and sports activities.

bolttech also plans to offer home and pet insurance products via the Trip.com app in future.

“As a tech-forward company, we look to stay ahead of the curve by partnering with businesses that will complement our app-first approach,” said Zhe Wang, Head of Global Payments and Insurtech at Trip.com. “Consumers can now plan their trips with greater peace of mind because our platform offers comprehensive travel insurance provided by bolttech Insurance.”

“We are proud to collaborate with the fast-growing, global travel platform Trip.com,” said Alister Musgrave, General Manager of bolttech Insurance. “Together, we will connect Trip.com’s customers to our flagship insurance products and ensure that they are sufficiently covered for their travels.”

bolttech also recently announced that it would offer travel insurance to customers of telecommunication provider Taiwan Mobile.
