The first phase of the partnership will see the launch of 13 different travel insurance products on the Taiwan Mobile app – underwritten by Fubon Insurance – providing coverage for between NT$3 million and NT$12 million.
The two companies later plan to expand their partnership to include other product offerings, including car, cyber, and personal injury insurance.

Chris Plumley, CEO North Asia, bolttech added: “Together, we will connect Taiwan Mobile's user base of seven million customers to a range of innovative and valued insurance products that we’ve integrated into our insurance trading platform, allowing customers to purchase coverage in a more convenient and intuitive manner. This initial launch will focus on travel insurance, enabling Taiwan Mobile customers to find an easier and better way to protect what matters most while roaming.”
UK mobile phone network EE is also reportedly looking to offer insurance coverage to its customers.
