Blink Parametric partners with Saskatchewan Blue Cross
Insurtech Blink Parametric has announced a partnership with Canadian insurer Saskatchewan Blue Cross to offer access to its real-time flight disruption service
Under the deal, Saskatchewan Blue Cross policyholders will be able to purchase flight delay coverage up to one hour ahead of their departure time – offering real-time notifications of delays, as well as cash and access to an airport lounge or hotel in the event of a delay or cancellation, proportional to the length of the delay.
Blink said that the partnership was the ‘culmination of ongoing collaboration between Blue Cross, Blink Parametric and Red Consulting … a travel insurance and medical assistance consulting company’.
Carl Carter, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Blink Parametric said: “We are proud to extend our growing relationship with Blue Cross to now include Saskatchewan Blue Cross.”
Blink Parametric’s previously announced that it would offer its flight delay service through Alberta Blue Cross in July 2022.
Blink launched its flight disruption coverage in partnership with AwayCare in January 2022 – underwritten by the Northbridge Financial Corporation.
