Bali International Hospital due to open in April
The hospital is intended to encourage the development of Bali into a destination for medical tourism
Bali International Hospital, a new medical facility being built in the town of Sanur, is due to open in April this year.
The date was announced at a corporate gathering at Sanur’s Pullman Thamrin Hotel, according to a report by the Bali Sun newspaper.
The private medical facility is intended to offer world-class medical care to both Indonesian and international patients, with the goal of establishing the Indonesian island as a destination for medical tourism.
The facility will be operated by healthcare provider PT Pertamina Bina Medika, and will provide a range of care in fields such as cardiology, oncology, neurology, gastrology, and orthopaedics. The hospital will also reportedly feature Bali’s first mammogram facility, as well as other advanced diagnostic equipment.
The hospital has been a long time in development – plans for the facility were first announced in 2021, and it was previously scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2024.
