AXA and HKBN launch travel insurance offering
The announcement follows the success of a previous collaboration earlier this year, in which AXA offered home insurance to HKBN customers
AXA Hong Kong and Macau will sell travel insurance to customers of the Hong Kong Broadband Network (HKBN) as part of the new partnership.
To support the deal, AXA has launched HKBN SmartTraveller Plus, a travel insurance product that will be offered via HKBN’s purchasing channels.
The announcement follows a successful collaboration between the two companies earlier this year, which saw AXA offer home insurance to HKBN customers.
HKBN SmartTraveller Plus is available as both a single and annual plan, and offers free coverage for all children under the same policy as their parents. It also includes optional coverage for travel to mainland China.
“By leveraging HKBN’s extensive customer base and distribution network, we aim to generate synergies and enhance the customer experience through more convenient purchasing channels,” said Kenneth Lai, Chief General Insurance Officer, AXA Hong Kong and Macau.
Dr Denis Yip, President and Group Chief Operating Officer at HKBN, added that following the launch of the home and travel insurance products, his company would “continue working with AXA to explore opportunities to bring more customised and value-added services for our customers”.
AXA also recently partnered with Hong Kong-based budget airline HK Express to offer complimentary flight delay protection to passengers.
