AXA Hong Kong has partnered with Hong Kong-based budget airline HK Express to offer complimentary flight delay protection to passengers

The parametric flight delay coverage is available to all HK Express customers who have purchased U-First priority check-in and express boarding services at least 48 hours before departure.

Eligible passengers will be registered automatically, and will receive a worldwide airport VIP Lounge Pass (eligible for six months) or a cash benefit of HK$80 if their flight is delayed by more than 90 minutes.

The offer is limited to bookings with a first flight departing from Hong Kong.

“Our strengthened collaboration with insurance giant AXA ensures that U-First customers are now protected against flight delays, reducing the hassle of unexpected hold-ups,” said KK Ong, Commercial Director, HK Express.

The development follows the establishment of a partnership between the two companies announced earlier this year.
