The product will be offered to Coverwise customers alongside the company’s traditional travel insurance offerings

Allianz Partners UK has entered a long-term partnership with travel insurance intermediary Coverwise to provide additional device protection to UK residents travelling internationally.

The product, called Coverwise Travel Gadget, provides dedicated protection against the loss, theft, or accidental damage of personal electronics during international travel.

Devices covered include phones, tablets, laptops, and smartwatches, and customers are offered options for repair, replacement, or cash reimbursement if things go wrong.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Coverwise to add an essential layer of protection for their customers,” said Marcus Latchford, Chief Sales and Distribution Officer UK and Ireland at Allianz Partners. “This long-term partnership reflects our evolution beyond traditional travel insurance toward practical, customer-focused solutions that continue to meet the changing realities of travel risk.”

Mark Shaw, CEO of Coverwise, added: “By offering dedicated gadget protection alongside our travel insurance, we’re able to give customers more comprehensive cover and greater peace of mind in one place. We too are delighted to enter this new partnership and look forward to offering our customers a key element of cover backed by Allianz Partners’ expertise, global reach, and exceptional service.”

Core Travel Insurance recently launched a digital platform intended to manage group travel medical insurance programmes and allow travellers to purchase personalised coverage upgrades.
