Air Ambulance Worldwide joins the International Assistance Group

US-based Air Ambulance Worldwide (AAW) has joined the International Assistance Group, bringing its range of experienced personnel, pre-configured air ambulances and EURAMI-accredited services to the alliance
Established 16 years ago, AAW now has two US bases, one in Florida and one in Pennsylvania, with a third in the pipeline. It also boasts EURAMI accreditation for intercontinental/long-range fixed-wing air ambulances, adult critical care medical endorsement, advanced adult critical care and neonatal critical care, as well as having an Argus Gold rating for aircraft operational safety.
The assistance provider owns three Learjet 35s, one Learjet 55 and two Citations (I and II) in addition to a contracted Learjet 36 and a Gulfstream aircraft. Its 75-strong medical team (with 130 full-time equivalent staff members) is headed by Medical Director Dr Richard Maenza, a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and author of numerous publications in the field of emergency medicine.
International Assistance Worldwide asserts that AAW is now able to extend its assistance even beyond the reach of North America, the Caribbean and northern parts of South America, as the company’s recent assignments have included Italy, Spain, Portugal, the UK, Jordan and Lebanon, firmly establishing its reach across the Western Hemisphere.
