Zurich partners with ComfortDelGro
Zurich Insurance has announced a partnership with Singaporean transport operator ComfortDelGro to offer travel insurance via its CDG Zig ride-hailing app
The exclusive travel insurance product, called Zurich Travel Comfort, will be available for customers to purchase via the CDG Zig app on booked trips to Singapore Changi Airport.
The comprehensive single-trip product is available for both individuals and groups, and includes a range of coverage, including:
- Pre-trip coverage if the party’s vehicle breaks down en route to Changi Airport – with reimbursement of up to S$1,000 (US$732) to cover additional accommodation and travel expenses
- Real-time, complimentary lounge access at airports around the world whenever customers’ flights are delayed by more than two hours
- 24/7 emergency assistance
- Adventure activities coverage.
The deal was made in response to a high level of demand for booked trips to and from Changi Airport on the CDG Zig platform.
Kenny Lok, CEO of ComfortDelGro Insurance, added: “This collaboration between Zurich and ComfortDelGro is a prime example of how technology is transforming traditional insurance models. By embedding travel protection directly into a mobility platform, we’re breaking down barriers and making insurance not just a purchase, but an intuitive part of the customer’s journey.”
