UAE hospitals gaining international accreditation
Under the management of UAE healthcare network Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), 10 hospitals and 28 primary healthcare centres have successfully achieved Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation
SEHA manages 13 hospitals and around 45 primary health services in the UAE region. Al Sila Hospital, which launched in 2015 and is situated in the western region of the UAE, is the latest facility managed by SEHA to receive the JCI three-year accreditation. Other accredited SEHA facilities, like Sheikh Khalifa Medical City and Al Mafraq Hospital, are gearing up to welcome the JCI surveyors back for re-accreditation in 2020 as they approach their three-year mark.
“Building a safe, sustainable and cohesive community is one of the most important priorities to the government, under which falls the vital role of keeping citizens, residents and visitors healthy and well,” said Rashid Al Qubaisi, Deputy CEO of SEHA, commenting on Al Sila Hospital’s recent accreditation. “We are wholly committed to bringing the world’s highest standards of healthcare to the UAE’s doorstep through the optimum accreditation of all our facilities.”
