Tune Protect and Boxx Insurance launch digital protection solution
The solution, called CyberSafe, is designed to offer a range of digital protection to “today’s connected travellers”
Malaysian insurance firm Tune Protect Group Berhad has announced the launch of a new comprehensive digital protection solution for travellers, in partnership with Boxx Insurance.
The product, called CyberSafe, is now available to customers across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa (EMEIA), as well as the Asia-Pacific (APAC).
It is accessible via Tune Protect’s business to business (B2B) portal and application programming interface (API) for travel agents. It is available as both a standalone, or as an optional add-on service for Tune Protect’s other products.
Tune Protect stated that the solution is designed to provide “comprehensive digital protection” for “today’s connected travellers.” It was created in response to the rising issue of travellers being hit by cyber threats such as phishing, identity theft, and data breaches.
Features included in CyberSafe include real-time alerts, incident response support, identity monitoring, threat intelligence and educational content.
“CyberSafe is a key milestone in our mission to provide comprehensive and relevant protection beyond traditional insurance,” said How Kim Lian, Group CEO of Tune Protect Group Berhad. “By embedding cyber safety into our travel insurance ecosystem, we are offering added value to digital-first consumers, including remote professionals and tech-savvy travellers who require integrated, always-on protection.”
Tune Protect partnered with bolttech to offer coverage to customers of AirAsia in October last year.
